Yes, it's me again. :-) I have no clue how to add people to a chatroom. How to do that?
The second thing is: A "direct message" must be done through sharing and permissions, am I right? Or is there such a thing as "direct messages"?

When you create the room you set who has permissions to join, but this doesn't add them to the room. They will need to do that on their own.

Thanks, Michael. I have set up a room for my family. But I don't see an option to join.
Ah, that's what mail is for. :-)

Just go to a person's channel, use the upper rigjt menu where you should see chatrooms.
Or create an app for that which your family can install and then have the link handy.
/appman
Location should be the URL to that room. Save.
If you then click on the app's pencil you'll get the app embed code.
Send that code to your connections.
I have not yet tested, but I
believe
that if you change that app's contents (such as room URL) it should also change for your connections.
They will need to add the app to their menu (star or pin).
If this wasn't clear enough ask, I'm on the go an will try to elaborate more clearly once home.

/mail is for private messages. Direct messages works by other way using
@!username
and deliveried directly into your stream.
