There is no support *at this time* for posting to Hubzilla forums from Mastodon.
As far as I know Zap has the only working public
and
private groups available to Mastodon folks. This is achieved by sending the group a DM.
Friendica and gruppe provide public group support using a normal @-mention. One could easily implement this mechanism for Hubzilla, but I would highly encourage thinking about the spam and privacy issues ahead of time. One will find in doing so that the mention mechanism is fatally flawed where private groups are concerned - even though it works OK for public groups.

just tested this recently – and it did NOT work with Friendica this way anymore

That's not something that ever occurred to me tbh. The masto user could @mention the forum, but I can't imagine the !mention would work since it's not something that exists over on mastodon.
A clever forum owner who wanted input from mastodon users could take @mentions and share them to the forum...
(speaking from the fandom corner, where workarounds are second-nature)

Hmmm... wouldn't it be a good thing to enable AP on hubzilla support forum? It could expose hubzilla more to the fediverse. Speciall if the forum is public anyway.
