@Hubzilla Support Forum+
I upgraded from #Debian
8 to Debian 9 (#stretch)
, hubzilla still works, but I now noticed that in the posts of hubzilla some characters, e.g. German "Umlaute" or emojis aren't displayed correctly any more in old posts. It is not only hubzilla which shows problems with certain characters, also other web apps running on my server now show problems.
I think this is probably related to the conversion from #Mysql
in Debian. I already checked out some MariaDB documentation, how to set it to #unicode
by default etc., but I know too less about databases administration to have any clue where the problem could be.
This problem is not specific to hubzilla, but maybe some other people also upgraded debian recently and had the same problem. Any constructive remarks are appreciated. Thanks.
