Hubzilla Support ForumDiscovered how to add calendar ical files (suffix '.ics') to a channel calendar:
cadaver [hubzilladomain]/cdav/calendars/[channelname]
username is the channel name
password is the _account_ password (!) A surprise. This implies that users can sign-in directly to a specific channel?
dav:/cdav/calendars/[channelname]/> ls
Listing collection `/cdav/calendars/[channelname]/': succeeded.
Coll: default 0 Jan 1 1970
Coll: inbox 0 Jan 1 1970
Coll: outbox 0 Jan 1 1970
dav:/cdav/calendars/[channelname]/> put eventfile.ics default/
Progress: [=============================>] 100.0% of 404 bytes failed:

dav:/cdav/calendars/[channelname]/> cd default
Therefore, user needs to navigate to the actual directory that the event file is to be imported (i.e. 'default' calendar)
DId receive an error when adding a URL to the ics file in the ical field entry 'description':
